As most of you probably do, you are on the internet.  While looking on the internet with all the diverse opinions out there, I came across a report on the Alternative Minimum Tax(AMT). 

Let me get this straight.  Our people in Congress said we are going to take 33 million into a lower tax bracket.  And since it seems to have effect on those with an Adjusted Gross Income(AGI), it seems only to deal with the higher income tax payer.  Our congresspeople have or/are creating a tax loophole for the rich.  It does not seem to go along party lines.  The Democrats and the Republicans are working together to raise your taxes, in the interest of a special group. 

Let us say that the AMT is a hundred dollars, Times 33 million equals to 3.3 billion dollars  Just a drop in the well.  The way I see it, who gets to pay the 3.3 billion dollars?  Why of course, the middle income taxpayer.  What is another 3.3 billion dollars?  Let us pass another tax, so we can spend spend, spend and spend.  We need tax reform.  We need to rain in the spend spend attitude.  Do you realize that over 1/3 of the per gallon price of gas is taxes.  And if the price goes up, so does the taxes they collect.  Where is that money?

If we had a flat tax with very minimal deductions say about 15%, alot of people would lose their jobs.  We would greatly lower the employment of the IRS, accountants and all the related people, also known as voters.  I did not say it was going to be easy, but in the long run it could work.
